FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, will be having their second meeting this Thursday in room during assistance. FBLA met for their first meeting on September 15,  where they introduced goals for the club in this school year.

Senior Jayden Perez, club president, hopes to grow FBLA membership further.

“In acquiring greater numbers of people we hope to get them involved and help them stay all four years. I want [students] to find their passion, Underclassmen will have a couple of years to experience the club.”

The FBLA Officers introduced themselves through an introductory video and discussed their experiences on the past state conference trip to Reno. FBLA membership recruitment is largely focused towards underclassmen who are often new to clubs at A-TECH.

“You guys really develop leadership skills. You should go to state to get that experience,” said treasurer, junior Javier Chavarria.

“It doesn’t matter what grade or major. I hope you guys become better speakers,” said Jayden Perez.

FBLA focuses on building leadership and teamwork skills.

“You’re all leaders in this community,” said Javier Chavarria. “You need to know how to interact with people in these social settings.”
Their next meeting will be Thursday, October 13.
