The 2016 remake of the 1967 Disney film The Jungle Book was just released Friday, April 15. Directed by Jon Favreau, the film consists of a star studded cast including Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Bill Murray as Baloo, Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, and big screen newcomer, Neel Sethi as Mowgli. Disney’s The Jungle Book produced a whopping $103.6 million dollars, exceeding critics expectations of a mere $75 million on opening day.

When my family and I watched the Jungle Book at the Cannery Galaxy Luxury Theaters many of the showings were sold out and very little seats were available, with the only open showings not available until the next day.  The movie itself was absolutely outstanding with amazing graphics and great quality. This 2016 reboot definitely stays true to the original storyline of the original 1967 film.
