Prepare for Dr Strange

Jeanette Robergeau

Attention all Marvel comic book fans: Marvel Studios has yet to release the first full length trailer for the new upcoming Dr. Strange live action film. Although, the movie is set to be released November 2016. Studios have already released a teaser trailer that I highly recommend you view.

English actor and Oscar nominee, Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing the role of Marvel character, Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange, created by artist Steve Ditko. The character made his first appearance in Marvel comic, Strange Tales #110 released in 1963.

Among all of the Marvel characters that exist in the franchise, Dr. Strange is one of the most powerful, considered a sorcerer, he has the ability to manipulate mystic entities and magical energy. His magical repertoire includes energy projection, animation of inanimate objects, and illusion-casting.

For those new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this film will be the third installment of phase three. The first installment started with Marvel’s Ant-Man released July 2015 and the second installment, also highly anticipated, is Captain America: Civil War which is set to be released May 2016.

Other movies down the line of phase three include, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (being filmed at this moment), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), and Black Panther (2018).

Late Night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel will be celebrating the Marvel Cinematic Universe with guests from the Captain America: Civil War film and the debut of the full length trailer Tuesday April 12, 2016. You will only be able to see it first on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, so mark your calendars and prepare for Dr. Strange.
