October 2018 Playlist (And No, No Monster Mash)

This month’s playlist is a Halloween edition, so the selections are combination of bright and eerie. First up is Anita, the underrated SMINO joint that blends R&B and soul to create a juke jam with an autumn aura.

Next up is the sinister smash-hit “SICKO MODE,” which placed Drake and Travis Scott, two of hip-hop’s hardest hitters, together on a Tay Keith-produced banger that hits like a ghoul at midnight.

The next two songs are a bit more on the somber side, with the XXXTentacion and Rita Ora’s singles ¨SAD!” and ¨Let You Love Me¨ respectively.

Following ¨SAD!¨ is a pair of tracks from the up-and-coming Chicago singer Juice WRLD, and they push the crossroads between hip-hop and punk rock. It’s true, the party never ends.

Throwback! Just for the sake of irony, Earth, Wind and Fire’s ¨September¨ is on the October playlist. It’s a classic and an all-around great tune to put a little Halloween groove in your step.

DJ Snake’s ¨Taki Taki¨ and Marshmello’s ¨Happier¨ are two more infectious tracks with upbeat vibes. These two are sure to put a little more smile in your day.

When those Halloween bones get a little achy, slow things down with Ella Mai’s trendsetting single “Boo’d Up” and Khalid’s new “Better.”

After “Better,” sit around the campfire to hear Lil Wayne’s sinister setup story “Mona Lisa” off of his new Carter V album.

Finally, end the October crusade with “Natural;” Imagine Dragons’ powerful single is sure to conclude your autumn activities on a high note.
